This is the first Big snyail event!! WOO
This is also a snyip event, so those who participate will receive both the gift art and snyip bits!

It’ll function like most secret santa events, by filling out a wishlist form and getting secretly paired with a ‘santa’, but there’s a small addition:
You can choose to sign up to get art of an existing snyail that you own, or you can sign up to get a new snyail design, based on traits you fill out on the form!
If you would be ok with either of these as your gift, then you’re welcome to fill out the entire secret snyanta form and be sorted into either category of snyail art!
The sign-up period will run until November 26th, which is a week from now! Forms can be edited / added to up until the sign-up period is over, but after that, please don't make any edits!
By the end of November, everyone should be matched up with someone else. You’ll receive who you have to draw for via dA messaging! Remember to keep who you’re drawing for a secret!!!
Gifts are to be posted between December 20th to December 25th! Do not post before December 20th!
If you don’t have your gift done by the 25th, there will be a follow-up journal posted on the 25th discussing what to do. If anyone runs into issues / has questions about how this’ll work, feel free to message me or any of the other group mods!
Along with the gift art you’ll receive, there's another bonus prize for participation:
Everyone who successfully delivers their gift art between December 20th-25th will receive 5 snyip points!
Note: late work will possibly earn a reduced amount of snyip, or no snyip at all (I’m still debating what to do!) so definitely try to keep on time!
Finally, the form that must be filled out to participate in the exchange can be found below!! Each section has instructions on what to put there, you’re free to delete the instructions on the form you post. Simply post your filled out form on this journal to join in the exchange! I hope everyone enjoys this event!

Snyail refs: (only required if you picked art of your existing snyail character(s). At least one colored image of one snyail. You may post refs of multiple snyails, but it’s up to your snyanta to decide how many they draw)

Can be character notes in general, ideas, or themes for your snyanta to work with. e.g. Dear Snyanta, please give my snyail a cosy new sweater for the holidays or Dear Snyanta, I’d love to see my snyail building themself a snowsnyail buddy. Please list multiple so your snyanta can work their magic thoroughly)
Preferred snyail theme(s): (only required if you picked to receive a snyail design. Can be broad or specific)

It's been a long time since the last journal entry! So I wanted to make one to to showcase the exciting stuff Snyails will have going on soon!
First off, if you haven't seen it yet, there's a new guide! It's for snyanthros, which are anthro snyails. Check it out here and consider making one, or making snyanthro versions of your snyail characters!!

The next guide is going to be the anatomy guide. It's very close to being done, so expect to see it in it's fully illustrated glory very soon!!

Secret Snyanta volunteers! (closed)
edit: volunteers have been pulled, thanks everyone who offered!!!
There were a few people who never received their secret snyanta gifts: to fix that, i'll be taking a few volunteers to work this out!
The amount of volunteers needed is very low (overall everyone did an amazing job getting the secret snyanta prompts done / posted)!!
Because of the low amount needed, i'll be leaving this journal open for around 24 hours, and in that time, anyone interested in volunteering to do art for the missing prompts can post in the comments of this journal I'm interested in volunteering!

Secret snyanta gift posting extension
Due to my delay in opening the folder for posting, i'll be extending the secret snyanta gift posting window until december 28th! if you post your gift by (or on) december 28th, you'll receive all 5 snyip bits.
After the 28th, there will be a 5 day period open for late submissions. The late submission period runs from december 29th to january 2nd, and anyone who posts during this time will still receive 2 snyip bits!
However, after january 2nd has passed, no more late submissions will be allowed (unless there are special circumstances, which i can be privately noted about)!
At that point, volunteers can step forward to deliver gifts to anyo
